RIKEN full-length cDNA clone and RNA-Seq data in Hevea brasiliensis

Natural rubber has unique physical properties that cannot be replaced by other latex producing plants or synthetic rubbers. For sustainable production of enough rubber to meet demand elucidation of the molecular mechanisms involved in the production of latex is vital. Rubber transcriptome database provides a draft genome of Hevea brasiliensis RRIM 600 (Law NS, et al. Scientific Reports 2016), full-length cDNA and RNA-Seq based gene expression data produced by RIKEN and USM. We hope this database facilitate rubber researches.
